Welcome to the Journey

Mission: Abandonment

“My strong advice to you is to soak, soak, soak, in philosophy and psychology, until you know more about these subjects than you ever needed consciously to think. It is ignorance of these subjects on the part of ministers and workers that has brought our evangelical theology to such a sorry plight.” –Oswald Chambers

He goes on to discuss the need for a wide variety of reading “…which simply isolates the (Bible) to its proper grandeur.” Unfortunately, human beings are prone to laziness and that is why God wanted us to go without leaders, to allow us to take the full responsibility of our own lives. The first step into accepting complete responsibility for ones life is complete abandonment to God’s Blessed Holy Spirit.

With so much seemingly going wrong in the world today: Swine Flu, Economy, Crime, and Wars, it becomes apparent that if you have God you have Hope.

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” –John 14:26 NASB

Not only does the Blessed Holy Spirit provide all the necessary information you need to make righteous decisions, She will also give you an insatiable desire to learn as much as possible about the God you serve. You quickly discover that the more you learn about the Creator, the more you understand about the Creation!

As we learn about this fantastic creation called life we must either believe that it came about simply by chance or not. If not, then what? We here in the Cepher family obviously decided to go with the belief in an omniscient Creator that loves us so much that He has designed us for victory!

“Does not wisdom call, and understanding lift up her voice?” –Proverbs 8:1 NASB

“When looking back on the lives of men and women of God the tendency is to say–What wonderful astute wisdom they had! How perfectly they understood all God wanted! The astute mind behind is the mind of God, not human wisdom at all.” –Oswald Chambers
