Welcome to the Journey

Wander

Have you ever felt lost? Not lost without God, but to be lost with God. Have you ever felt as if you were not sure that God was listening? That is what this week’s Scripture is all about; to be out there wandering around feeling as if you are the only person on the planet, and yet, God was not responding, or so it seemed.

Mark 15:34

“And at the ninth hour Y’shua cries out with a load voice, ‘Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthani?’ which is translated, ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'”

Whenever we are not able to see or feel God in our lives it is because we are to consumed with things other than God,  not because God has turned His back on us. Just as with Y’shua on the cross at the very moment all the sins of the world were placed on His shoulders when He was unable to feel God’s Presence; it is with us when we are so wrapped up in the world that we are not able to see God working in our circumstances. But He is there and always will be. The more we rest in that truth, the more we will rest in Peace  (That is not a pun, it is meant to reinforce the fact that we are to die of ourselves in order to let Y’shua in and have complete control).

To feel lost today is far more common than a decade ago when fewer people expected to walk in Heaven on earth the moment they accepted Y’shua has their Savior. If we read the Book of Acts we can see that life with God, though peaceful, can be filled with trails, obstacles, negative circumstances, and disasters; although with God one can go through hell on earth and not flinch.

Acts 20:22-24

In reading the above verses we can clearly see that Saint Paul was completely aware of his difficult task ahead, and yet still considered it a privilege to be serving Y’shua. We need to understand that God wants only to bless us, He desires to teach us how to completely become His children, and knowing what it is that we need, as well as where we need to be at any given time, God is simply trying to lead our lives into His. As we see with Saint Paul, he considered anything he did for Y’shua was exactly what he was born to do. His mind set was simply considering himself as Y’shua’s property.

We need to trust our Father. Depend on Him and learn to Love Him. Too many believers think that since they are a child of the King they can act like it–wrong king! We must never forget how Y’shua acted while He walked the earth. It is that exact example that we must follow if we wish to be children of the King.
