Welcome to the Journey

The middle of my fifth decade on this planet is becoming the most challenging that I have faced thus far, and there does not seem to be any sign of it letting up any time soon. So with that in mind I feel that the timing is right to begin work on my “pi`ece de re’sistance”, which basically amounts to me babbling on and on and on about whatever I think needs be said. And yet, who knows, there may be a small jewel here or there with a resemblance of possible wisdom and wit. God only knows, but it will certainly be a journey–for me and you.

Had I only known then what I don’t know now. –My epitaph.

Have you been to Rome?  If you have or you have seen in-depth videos of Rome you would quickly see the remnants of a nation that once ruled the world. However, if you look deep enough you will see what is left of a society that was ruled from the top down, with all the bells and whistles any society at that time could possibly have. A society that was the military leader, an Empire feared by all, that led by force as it drained the minion dry. The USA has been compared to the Roman Empire numerous times for numerous reasons, but the most illuminating similarity between the USA and the Roman Empire is how the rich ruled the masses and the spirit of Rome as with the USA just died of starvation.

In most, if not all civilizations they began with hope, that special little feeling that can bring down giants, make friends from enemies, and alas at times fuel the desire for empire. That latter trait is not always present within a society, there are societies–tribes–in South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and throughout the South Pacific that are living as they have for centuries. There are fine countries throughout the world that have no desire or ability to take over the world any time soon. Unfortunately, for those societies that do fall victim to that spirit eating monster masquerading in the spirit of hope as “Heaven on earth” while disguising its real agenda of world domination–EMPIRE, it ultimately leads all those who follow into the pits of hell. Welcome to the United States of America!

Please do not mistake this bluntness with dejection or negativism, I cannot change what I see on earth, I can only control how it affects me. If I let this plethora of destruction we call the USA bring me down, that would be my choice of which I would have no place to complain. On the other hand, if I continue believing that the only real concern is to lose my Faith then no matter what happens, it will all work for the good of life. Today in American society any condemnation is looked at as either: politically incorrect, anti-semitic, or conspiratorial minded, whether the condemnation be right or wrong, true or false has no bearing once the comment has been labeled. It becomes the same response as an ostrich burying its head in the sand. Hear no evil, see no evil, speak… .

All this is fair and good until it affects your children, when one of your children hurt, you as the parent hurt. Yet, the Word of God has all the answers for you if you would just believe. To love God more than everyone else, to absolutely believe that God will take care of all those you love, to completely know that God loves you more than anyone else could ever love you and God will take the best care of you, this is Faith. Unfortunately, the only way you can live with that degree of Faith in God is to know God. The more one knows God, the stronger, deeper, and richer one’s faith in God becomes. Today most of us know of God without really knowing God.

How does one get to know God? Knock, ask, and search. How ever much one desires to know God, one will. There is a direct correlation between one’s desire to know God and one’s knowledge of God. The Truth does set one free.

These next three post will be the last for now…

Today, something very different, today is America 101; Believe me we need it! The title is Spanish for “The Disappeared“, used in Argentina in the ’70’s for those whom the government silenced. Not terrorist, like our government told us, but labor organizers; regular people just like us!

Today you will be given the chance to finally understand what your government has been doing for the past 60 years plus! I say your government if you do not live in a Scandinavian country, not that all Scandinavian countries have been innocent in the past government atrocities of the last sixty years, but many have not been as bad as the rest–who knows why! At any rate, the USA has led the team of filth for the last six decades plus when we left our humble beginnings and let pride take over.

I implore all of you to please take this writing to heart and while on your knees to our Lord ask Him what need be done by you. I have much information because I took part in some of these atrocities as a young and very stupidly naive patriot, however, unfortunately I only have information, but no answers. I will not be able to tell you how to fix what is happening today, but I am certain our Lord does have the answers we seek.

People like Mr. Chris Hedges have been right in the middle of all this mess for many decades as a journalist and is now trying desperately to ring the alarm bells that unfortunately few are hearing. If you believe in the mainstream Christian view; which is loyal to the country of Israel, believes all Muslims are evil and Christians should fight them to the death, and that the USA is still a blessed country doing God’s work hopefully to become a theocracy, then you should not read any further, it will only upset you to the point of wanting to harm me!

This is not a Bible lesson!

Make no mistake, we need our Creator today more than ever! The powers that control this country today have endless resources and have been working this plan for centuries–a white male Protestant dominated, Christian based society that rules the world. I know this may offend some, and the rest will laugh it off as the typical conspiracy theory, but I had to at least try. After you watch the short video of the San Luis Obispo county girl if you do a little research you might just be amazed what you find out about Van Buren.

People, this is not rocket science, I am talking about human nature! Do any of you realize that our country, the USA, established a law that limited personal annual  income to two million (today) dollars by simply taxing everything above that at 91% in 1950? Can you imagine that at a time when our government and it’s citizenry agreed that two million per year (today’s $) was enough to live on comfortably our economy grew and was stronger than it had ever been or will be?Do you really think that people cannot live well on two million clams per year? Think of what our country would be like today if we would have kept that law in place! The law did not state that you could not make more mullah, it simply said that this country has financial obligations and anyone who makes more than that should help the country that allowed that person the ability to do such a thing. Is that really so wrong?

Apparently it is, because most people on Wall Street that make $BILLIONS$ per year believe that they should not pay any more than anyone else no matter what their incomes are! They owe this country zero! All for one and forget the rest!

A Tiny Blue Dot

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.  Carl Sagan

I cannot stress enough how absolutely important it has become for all Americans in the USA to STOP this madness of the consumption of everything on earth just because we want it! As different as we are from one another we all have the same desire to consume almost everything we see. The primary motivation human beings are stimulated by today is their own entertainment, even our churches reflect that premise! There is a tiny group of Americans who have realized how insane that lifestyle is, unfortunately there are so few of them that they hardly matter. If we do not change this mind-set we will create a condition on earth that will be so difficult for all human beings to survive that many will choose death as a better alternative. Is that what we want for our children and their kids?

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.  Carl Sagan

Whether you view it from a satellite four billion miles away or from your own backyard, this planet is becoming smaller with every single rotation. If we care to live up to the responsibility we have to our children we must immediately begin living in a far more sustainable way and pass that lifestyle on to our children. The majority of our children under the age of twenty years old are much less capable of understanding what consequences our lifestyle is burdening them with, and that puts the responsibility of making them aware of these future consequences squarely upon our shoulders.

Whether you believe there is an ongoing climate change or not, if you think that the economy is getting worse or you do not, even if you may or may not consider this the end of days, the factor that affects us most today is the condition of our spirit, our outlook, our emotional wellbeing. It is our attitude (Faith) that well eventually determine our outcome. Right now our attitude is dismally focused on “dying with the most toys“.

There is a shining light, and although that light should be coming from within the very heart of the Church, it is instead coming from everywhere but the church. Thank God He will use even a donkey to communicate with His people when His people become so obstinate they will not listen to reason. Did God assign us the responsibility as caretakers of this planet? If in fact He did, are we living up to that request? Genesis 1:26

If we were given the world to rule over as God does us, one must take into consideration His relationship with Us. And if he rules us with love and care, do we do the same to this planet?

Sadness with a Silver Lining

We live in a country that whether it is from the lack of centuries or just luck we have less melancholy memories than most other countries i.e., Europe. I often wonder if the absence of great sadness among the throngs within this country is not caused by the blessings of God. At any rate whether it be by blessings, or by the simple lack of time, or by the fickle hand of fate, it would appear to most today that sadness of great magnitude is just beyond the horizon. A sadness that will go far beyond that of what was felt in the second decade and again in the  fifth decade of the last century by most Europeans and by all those who lost loved ones in the two World Wars (+70 million people died). Both wars were said to be the last due to the viciousness and massive loss of life that was forced on all who were alive during either or both of those nightmarish events.

What I have found to be most curious is how intense sadness affects people in such different ways. Some, who find themselves near deaths door tend to discover God, and others who may have had a lengthy relationship with God decide that the amount of sadness was sufficient to dissolve any possibility of existence of a personal God. Though my curiosity is peaked at the question of why the same trauma would affect people so completely differently, my understanding of why some believe in God and some do not has always been established by the Bible’s explanations that only those written in the Book of Life will believe. Consequently, it would appear that there is a strong spiritual factor determining the affect of profound sadness on human beings.

70% of Americans polled believe in the existence of Angels, and at least three-quarters of the American public believe in the existence of the supernatural, and yet few have sought the complete presence of God. How could that be? Maybe our human nature refuses to relinquish control. However, no one is truly in complete control of their life, although the idea of voluntarily submitting ones self completely over to a God that one is not convinced of is like playing Russian Roulette. There in lies the problem.

Thus enters the magic of sadness. Because of the paradox in the need to believe in God one must first believe in God’s existence–a step of pure faith–which is an action that most human beings are at the least reluctant, and more likely, incapable of such a step. Thus the necessity for God to allow Satan to cause sadness in such a way that enables those humans affected to take the most important step of their lives toward building a true, unbridled relationship with the Creator of all things.

In any case, it would appear that whether or not sadness has a positive side, America seems to be in the initial throes of what looks like a swathe of sadness developing into a thick, heavy and dirty blanket of despair eventually enveloping even the elite. It is at that point when we shall see how many of the 70% that believe in Angels finally surrender their entire consciousness over to God.

Thus a rather long-winded, haphazardly way of an attempt to ensure all who read it that, though the light at the end of the tunnel may frequently turn out to be just another high-speed train, there really are silver linings in the most vicious of dark rain clouds. However, the only way to benefit from that metallic rainbow is to survive the flood.

Give Peace A Chance!

What do we possibly have to lose? Right now at a time when our infrastructure is crumbling under our feet, tires, and tracks we are spending hundreds of billions of dollars each year on wars we are battling all over the world. The majority of political, diplomatic,  and military experts agree that the bulk of our security concerns are caused by our military occupation! Can you imagine what this country could do with just half of what we are spending to maintain the war on the world?

I am certainly not advocating the disbanding of our military–on the contrary. Over half of the military experts interviewed have stated that maintaining this war on the world is destroying our military! How could it not? Just look at the rank of those coming back with career ending injuries or worse–a large portion are officers which are far more difficult to replace. Or just look at how many excellent officers are leaving their first love–the military, due to the immense strain these long arduous deployments place on the individuals and/or their families.

Up to this point I have attempted to stay away from political statements in the blog site, however, after looking at all the young faces in the news paper today of all those who have given their lives in this war on the world–today being Veterans Day, I could not continue to refrain from expressing my views today. As Einstein has so prophetically stated, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

It is only a matter of time before a nuclear weapon is detonated over or in a large city of the world. The worst case scenario would involve a city in Israel, D.C., or Russia; because the response would ignite the exact scene Albert Einstein envisioned. If we do not turn the other cheek today, we will not have either cheek tomorrow.

It must begin with Believers and Followers of God by praying and fasting incessantly. So many Christians today believe that the end of the world is at hand, and that the end will occur with a global nuclear exchange that even those in the upper echelon of our military are following strategy with that ideology. Therefore, along with prayer we should consider joining the debate to stop all occupations and bring our military home where they belong; not out at all points of the globe protecting the interests of corporate America.

We must quickly realize war does only one thing: it causes retaliation, naturally. There is never a permanent winner.

The Winds of Change

They’re here. Can you feel them? The threshold has been crossed and the change must now take place. The Winds that are blowing have less to do with our climatic atmosphere than they do with our Spiritual atmosphere–this Wind is the Blessed Holy Spirit (The Hebrew word for wind is also the word for Spirit–Genesis 8:1, Exodus 15:10, Numbers 11:31, Ezekiel 37:9). Here at Cepher we think it is for the better because people will not change on their own. We are an obstinate people, a stiff-necked people who do not listen to reason, only to force (Exodus 33:5). And now that force is the Force of Nature (both climatic and human) that will continue to place a strangle hold on this country until we relinquish our hold on it.

We have had a decade of warnings to make the necessary changes and we have gone in the opposite direction. Instead of changing our ways and becoming completely submissive to King Y’shua Messiah, we have leaned onto our own understanding while depending upon our own strength. Big mistake! Just as Saint Peter did on Gethsemane (Matthew 26:52). Do not misunderstand this post; we are not advocating for the Ten Commandments in our schools, we are advocating for them to be in are hearts!

The climate, the economy and the morals of this nation will change. Unfortunately, it will get much worse before it begins to get better. But it will get better! Not in our life time, but in lifetimes to come. That is what this life is all about, not our life, but another life. Until we begin to live for others as King Y’shua Messiah showed us two millennia ago, that we still refuse to emulate, we will never be His disciples. Shame on us!

Economy, food, water, climate are all becoming less and less accommodating until we–the citizens of the USA– as the leading example of this earth, finally begin to live within the means of this planet in respect to all the other human beings on this earth. As long as we (Americans) continue to live as if we own everything, acting as if as long as we desire it, we deserve it, we will indeed get exactly what we deserve–as we are seeing at this very moment ( Genesis 6:6, Jonah 1:2, Exodus 32:7-10, Matthew 23:37-39).

Make no mistake, we cannot fix this! All we can do now is attempt to improve the chances of our next generations. That is not a bad thing. Please follow along: Read the rest of this entry »

Mark 6:13

“And they were casting out many demons and were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.” –NASB

This is one of many scriptures informing/instructing followers of the benefits of Holy Oil. The instructions for the Holy Oil are like the instructions for everything else in the Bible–they are there for our benefit, but only if we are obedient to the Word of God–by applying the instructions to our lives. It is that obedience to the Word of God that is the most important thing for all followers to learn. It is through obedience that we learn to Trust our Creator, it is through that Trust that we learn total dependence on God, and it is through that dependence that we learn just how truly remarkable God’s Agape Love really is.

This dependence on God will be the deciding factor of survival as it has been for millennia. Throughout time we see where those who followed God completely have always managed to persevere through the toughest of times. Times are about to get considerably tough, maybe about as tough as they have been in decades . It does not take a prophet to see what is coming on the horizon. There are some very dark clouds on that horizon, and I am not referring to famine, drought, war, disease, climate change or population overload, which are already prevalent in various parts of the world today as they have been for thousands of years . The clouds on the horizon that I am making note of are filled with anger, hatred, selfishness, laziness, divisiveness, and an inability to see the trouble ahead. These are clouds that cannot be stopped with anything other than a “Spiritual Awakening” much like the one the First Century Believers experienced after the Ascension of King Y’shua Messiah.

For that Awakening to occur we need to look back to the time of the First Century Believer just before King Y’shua Messiah left the earth. First, we must remember what the expectations of the First Century Believers were concerning the coming of the Messiah. For most, they thought that God was sending them an army general who would decimate, by the sword, everyone who would not follow God. Unfortunately, since it obviously did not occur then, many people today believe that it will occur within our lifetime. What did happen at the time just prior to the “Ascension” was the passing on of the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), the Blessed Holy Spirit to all those who were true followers of God (Acts 2). The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God which can only be truly understood by the help of the Blessed Holy Spirit.

Before the Blessed Holy Spirit could be passed on to all the followers, directions had to first be followed by the followers. Those directions were given by King Y’shua Messiah, and had to be followed to the letter in order for the followers to be in the right place at the right time. Because without the Blessed Holy Spirit the followers would have had no chance to survive what was about to occur. All the way back to the beginning we can see this basic truth–God’s blessings require our obedience. From the Garden of Eden, and Noah’s Ark, to the gift of the Blessed Holy Spirit, God’s blessings were interwoven with our obedience.

Farther Up And Farther In

In the last book of the Chronicles of Narnia there is a part where all of Narnia’s followers of Aslan (the lion metaphor for King Y’shua Messiah) were following him up a large seemingly unending  mountain. While they were continuing to climb Aslan would remind them periodically “Farther up and farther in”, as if encouraging them to continue to climb because that was what they all needed to do to get to the top.

Throughout my time dealing with my ailments while trying to be a father and a husband I found myself often going back to that part of the Narnia Chronicles. I knew that God had tried in vain to dissuade me from doing many of the things that eventually caused my discomfort. It was my part to continue “Farther up and farther in” no matter how difficult it would become at times. Because that is where I placed myself through disobedience, and the Bible is full of scripture that speaks to the point of never tiring. There probably is a solid reason for the Word of God to speak on the need for perseverance to the extent that it does.

When I was younger, I would push through the pain and sickness to do whatever it was I thought needed getting done. Through my ailments I have learned that first of all, it was that exact mind-set of disregarding what my body and mind was telling me that harmed my body to a great extent and caused most of my ailments that so negatively affect my life today. Secondly, by learning to listen to my body I have learned to obey God far more than before, and now I know that if I feel physically incapable of performing a particular task (due to an ailment) I will consider that task something that God does not wish me to undertake at that moment. By doing this I have learned how to live with God while allowing Him to take care of so many things that I once thought was my sole responsibility. This in turn, has allowed God to work in so many other people’s lives that I would constantly interfere in before. My interference would hamper other people from developing a relationship with God as their sole provider.

Of course, all of us would like to think that our pain and suffering was for admirable reasons and I hope that by sharing my stories of discomfort it will give some comfort to others in some way by the Grace of God. However, I know that I have learned a great deal about my self through all the sickness and discomfort I have experienced over the decades. The most important development that has transpired from my ailments has been my relationship with God. It has without a doubt been so wonderful that if I had the chance to pick a pain-free healthy, wealthy life without God or my life today with Him, there is no question in my mind that I would never even think about my life without my Lord.

Rebellion Nation

We live in a most rebellious state, which is our state of mind. It is not new, in fact we come from the most rebellious genetic material on the planet. What is new is the extent, the degree to which we are willing to rebel. We are willing to lose our future just to have what we call life today. Without any real analytical thought we are willing to throw away a chance of eternal bliss for a chance of temporary pleasure. Why?

Trust! Actually, the lack of trust is what has caused this massive disobedient rebellion to transform this entire nation into a boiling cauldron of hate and despair waiting for the exact rise in temperature needed for a boil over. We are living in a steam cooker today and we do not even realize that at any moment the pressure is going to blow the lid off the pot. The past few posts have all been dealing with the same issues because it is these issues that are heavy on our hearts and we need desperately to deal with them before they become life changing circumstances.

Right now is the time to take the bull by the horns, so to speak, and make it our priority to establish a personal trusting relationship with our Creator while we can still make that choice. I know what it is like to wait too long and end up in a position where that decision is made for you by the circumstances that have come into place from bad choices made at a time of rebellion. Sometimes that is the only way for some of us to get right with God, that is only because we have refused to heed God’s pleading as we continued down a road of rebellion for the sake of refusal, and nothing else.

Life is what we make of it, and when we live in total rebellion we should expect total frustration for as long as we rebel. Our Creator knows exactly what our future holds for each of us and God is not about to allow our rebellion to jeopardize that future. God has all the time in the world to wait for us to quit fighting, and the sooner we learn to Trust our Fatherly God, the sooner we will learn what God has in store for our life.

Half full or half empty is a very simple matter of opinion. However, for some people there is no water, no glass, no hope. If you are not one of those people, be thankful, be hopeful, and become helpful to those who could really use a helping hand. We can change the world one person at a time if we would just begin with our self.

Atomic City

As a citizen of Atomic City, Atom manufactures and sells ball-bearings in three sizes–small, medium, and large. The ball-bearing is a crucial piece of equipment in Atomic City, and without them the city would come to a stand still. One day Atom wanted to buy a motorcycle, but he did not have enough money. So, Atom decided to raise the prices of his ball-bearings; and he bought a nice motorcycle.

Unfortunately, Atomic City Electric Company could not afford to buy Atom’s ball-bearings at the new price unless it too raised prices to adjust to the increased cost. That of course lead the other companies of Atomic City to raise their prices so they could afford the higher cost of electricity. This eventually lead to Atom being forced to raise the price of ball-bearings again to pay for the increased cost of electricity and all the other increased expenses.

Simple to see where this little story is going, but what it amounts too is the reason the Founding Fathers explicitly stated that without a principled society capitalism would not function well. “Supply and Demand” died out decades ago and something called greed took its place. Our founding Fathers never envisioned making the kind of money that some make or the way they make it today! We are constantly re-creating new ways to make money in large ever increasing amounts–without any ethical considerations. In fact the only consideration that is brought to the table today is how to make more money!

As believers in King Y’shua Messiah we are better than this! We need to encourage each other and help ourselves out of this vicious cycle with the Grace of God by the power of the Blessed Holy Spirit! It is not that difficult if we surrender to God. We can do it, and we will!
