Cepher Blog

Welcome to the Journey

Can You See!

Hopefully, you have noticed that you are of a very small group here at Cepher, and as I sit here tonight listening to one of my favorite song of all time I am reminded of how important being a member of a small group has always been in my life as well as throughout history. I will assure you that the most important group in the history of this earth began with the Words of one Man as He spoke them to two brothers. These words He spoke had nothing to do with their acceptance of Him, it was something far deeper inside of them that they were listening too. Just as we listen to that same almost silent voice that NEVER lets us go or down.

There will not be a great movement in my life time, it will come in most of yours though. All of you under Thirty-ish will, if you stay the course, see the movement of a life time; one that will bring down the walls of class separation, bigotry, hatred, and most of all division. It will be a movement that will shake the pillars of Heaven and Earth with the quiet power of Agape Love. That is all we are missing at this time, and it cannot come just because you want it to, it can only manifest when all who have been seen breathing have arrived, so be patient. It will come, and you will see it!

Patience is the key, but patience is impossible without Faith. The Tower of Babel shows us that motivation, commitment, and unity fall short of the mark without the manifestation of Agape Love. King Y’shua Messiah certainly had it while on earth, Peter, John and others had it, but not when King Y’shua Messiah walked with them. It comes via the Blessed Holy Spirit at times of great need. Have Faith to know, have Faith to know that our Creator has a Plan. We are in it. It will be played out to the fullest, and all we have to do is wait in Faith.

Who R We!

Did I ask a question or just exclaim a statement? What does it matter today when scientists make factual statements out of thin air? Check this out.

Why do I believe in the Bible as the Word of God?

Simply because it describes human nature to its very essence. In that it can tell us our very next move and why we will be making it. The Bible tells us that in time intelligence will increase and yet humans will run around from fact to fact as lost as they have ever been! One must only read the theory of String Universe and one will see immediately it is simply the King with no clothes! No one will dare say anything derogatory about the theory for fear that the “geniuses” that came up we it like Leonard Susskind will accuse anyone who says anything against this theory as being to dim-witted to understand it!

What String Universe–A name I created to compile all the sub-theories into one–tries to do is answer the question of singularity by simply creating an ambiguous theory of everything that once again side-steps the biggest question in all of physics; How does something come from nothing?

Albert Einstein understood that until one can completely answer that single most important question science cannot discard God from the equation!

“As far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain; and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality.”  –Albert Einstein

“Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” —Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was a brilliant man who grew up in a time when humility was not considered a weakness as it is today. It was that humility in combination with his brilliance that allowed him to see things we are too proud to see. The answers are there right in front of our faces, and yet, until we can see them through the eyes of humility we will continue to  intelligently stumble around this universe.

I am certain that Mr. Susskind has the intelligence to understand the information that Albert Einstein discovered, but only time will tell if Mr. Susskind can develop the humility it will take to see the secrets that Einstein saw. Of course, none of this is outside the power of our Creator to solve if we will just see it ourselves and pray for the rest.

It doe not take the masses, it has always been done with just the remnant.

Just think how nice it would be if science could be taught with the inclusion of a Creator being a possible answer to the many gaps we see in evolution without a Creator. Just maybe that “natural process” could be influenced, applied and adjusted by the Hand of our Creator. No religion, no finite conclusions, just the “natural” possibility of  a Creator’s touch.

As true believers we should realize that the Name of our King Y’shua Messiah is not where or what it should be today. For several thousand years mankind has been defiling that Name to the point that today most believe that our God is a god of death, destruction, punishment and mayhem; not the God of Love that King Y’shua Messiah displayed while He walked this earth. The Word of God says that He is the exact nature of God! Yet, we do not ever see Him killing, hurting, or even threatening, even some of the most vile people in our eyes, while He walked this earth.

Who we are can be easily determined by who we follow. The true Creator of life is Love. Even Hell is simply just being apart from God, not something that God does to someone, but something that someone does to their self.

This may be of some interest.

Lies For Truth

By the second century men were attempting to convince the entire world that King Y’shua Messiah was real. The problem was they attempted this by selling lies for the Truth. Numbers were more important than allowing the Blessed Holy Spirit to work magic in the hearts of those whom God already knew would accept Him. Every knee will bow but not until they see God at the end of the world. Until then we must understand that living for our Lord has nothing to do with filling the pews!

THIS is the Lord that I have come to know: He does not condone unrighteousness, but He does not condemn you for it either.  He lets the act condemn itself–and it will, if you have a conscience. Christians have spent the past two-thousand years competing with other Christians attempting to fill church buildings, save souls, and take care of widows and orphans, all in the name of God. Today we know that people were tortured, killed and sold into slavery all in the name of saving souls.

Can you imagine what kind of world we would be living in today if everyone who claimed to be a Christian over the last two millennia simply lived exactly as King Y’shua Messiah lived? If you, like me, understand that this world would have been so much better for everyone today if that would have happened, then just start living the Word of God just like King Y’shua Messiah did two millennium ago.

Hebrews 11:6

“And without Faith it is impossible to please Elohim, for those who come to Elohim must believe that He is…” NASB

It does not get any clearer than that, and if Faith is the main factor in our relationship with our Creator then there is no way to force our beliefs onto anyone else. So why do we seem to try so hard to do just that? It has nothing to do with our belief, nothing to do with the evangelistic call off King Y’shua Messiah, but it has everything to do with our pride and our security. We try to make others see our way just to make us feel better about our own beliefs and about ourselves. It must stop if believers are ever going to fulfill the call of our Lord to share the Word with others.

All human being learn from experience more than anything else, therefore, we must show others the Word of our Lord through our actions not by our words. I was Stumbling in the Net a few days ago and stumbled across THIS which shows a great example of what I am trying to share in this post. So I placed the link in this post in hopes that you would read it even if you do not finish this one. If you are still with me, let’s talk about Faith!

Hebrews 11:1

“Now Faith is the assurance of hope, the conviction of things not seen.” NASB

There is no better definition of our belief in our Creator than this one above, and for that reason we should look carefully at this verse describing Faith in hopes that with a better understanding comes a better appreciation and usage. To be assured of hope is to be completely convinced, and conviction of an unseen object or event is exactly how scientist see their theories. Faith is Faith no matter what the belief is in. However, the question is what to believe in? I have spent a life time learning, studying, and absorbing knowledge that at times tends to bring doubt into the validity of the present Bible we read. There are only two ways to truly look at Bible validity: one way is to trust exactly what you read, or slightly adjust what you read to fit the Truth inside your heart. The first way is to be ignorant and led blindly down a road that you can pretend is Faith, or the second way can be done though vigilant study WITH the Blessed Holy Spirit–that tiny little voice inside your heart.

Let me give you an example:

Some of the finest Theology Scholars in the world understand that if you read the oldest manuscripts from the fourth century you will not read one of the most important stories in the Bible today! The “Throw the first stone” story in the Book of Saint John. Of course most of these fine scholars do not believe that King Y’shua Messiah confronted the mob about to stone a woman for adultery. They think that it was added later to the Bible. I believe that one day they will find in the millions of documents from the cave of Qumran that exact story which was indiscreetly removed so the Kings and Popes of the fourth century could call upon their followers to kill in the name of God!

Why do I believe this way?

Simple; I have come to know our Creator in such a way that I am convinced that King Y’shua Messiah would react exactly like it states in John 8:1-11. I believe this because there is no ambiguity in the Gospels where King Y’shua Messiah plainly states His feelings on forgiveness Luke 23:34. The Bible today is full of God’s forgiveness and as it was when it was first written.

Study and then believe! If you apply the Word of God as an entire single Word; to apply the Spirit of the Bible whole into your life and not pick and choose specific verses to live by you will not have to concern yourself with the possibility of a single verse being wrong. The Bible in its entirety has a general theme to live by and that is what you sink your beliefs into.

What Next?

I am still here, and as far as I can figure the only people missing are the doomsday prophet and his wife.

Burning Korans, killing doctors at abortion clinics, doomsday predictions promising God’s wrath, refusal to even consider the possibility that science and spirituality can unite for the good of all humanity; is it any wonder so many people today are unsure that a benevolent Creator exists? Where are those who live in complete surrender to the Lord so others can witness the true Agape Love of the Creator? I believe in the Creator with all my heart and soul, but all I see around me is judgement, strife and division.

When King Y’shua Messiah slipped His sandals on and walked on this earth He had one mission: open the pathway to an eternal relationship with our Creator. He did this in several ways: First and foremost, He lived on this planet as a human being while demonstrating exactly how His followers must live. It had nothing to do with location, employment, or social status, and everything to do with lifestyle. Not where you live or what you do for employment, but how you live where you work and live and play! It has always been the “how”, the intentions of the individual, not the worldly gains and efforts.

If you cannot see it in the way King Y’shua Messiah lived, see it in His words; Matthew 5-7.

Secondly, our Creator died on a cross for our sins and went into darkness to free every willing soul who ever lived. The reason this is looked upon as the greatest of the activities King Y’shua Messiah completed for our opportunity  to come to the Lord is because of the massive sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice for our souls, showing us exactly how much our Creator loves us, and what is expected of us to receive that Love–NOTHING!

His was an unselfish act in hopes that we will realize exactly who we are and where we came from. Will we ever get there?

Prophets ?

I wanted to be on the record prior to 21, May 2011 in order to be able to say from the beginning that here at Cepher we do not believe that the Blessed Holy Spirit will ever inform someone years or seconds in advance of the end of the entire world. I do not believe in the Rapture, and I think that it is a travesty that anyone would believe someone prophesying the end of the world, and yet, there are thousands or more that have stopped their entire lives, closed their bank accounts, quit working and sold their homes because someone told them that the end is coming on a specific date. This person that has predicted the End of Days first predicted it in 1994, and at that time said that if his calculations were incorrect and the earth is still here after 21, May 1994, the next date would absolutely be the correct date, which of course is tomorrow.

As I previously mentioned, the fact that so many Christians have taken this tripe hook, line and sinker, should reveal to the world just how far from the Cross Christianity has fallen. Thank the Lord for the remnant that will always be ready, waiting patiently while continuing to sharing the Gospel by simply living it.

No one is guaranteed tomorrow, that is why it is crucial to live today for King Y’shua Messiah.

Fire Test

1Corinthians 3:12-13

“Now if any man builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood hay straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.”  NASB

Wow! I do not know about you, but I can say with absolute conviction that I clearly understand what the Blessed Holy Spirit was communicating in these verses through Saint Paul because I have confirmation from the Word of King Y’shua Messiah as quoted in the Gospel of Saint Luke chapter six, verse forty-eight, where King Y’shua Messiah tells all His followers that unless your foundation is laid upon the Rock, your house will not survive the flood. Therefore, no matter how much wealth we have, or how smart we are, or how much work we do; unless our foundation is secured on the Rock, we will collapse.

Even though your foundation gives way God will be there to help you get out of the hole that is left of your life and will be with you assisting as you put your life on the Rock. No matter how long it takes or how many times you fail to secure your foundation to the Rock God will always be waiting for you with open arms willing to assist. In fact, just two verses beyond the thirteenth, one can read even though your house will burn down, you will be saved. However, though you are saved you will be scarred, according to the verse. And it is that “scaring” that is the true consequence of actions or omissions that are outside the realm of God’s ideal place for each of us.

It has been discovered that human beings are naturally inclined to believe in the importance of punishment, as if at birth we are ready to accept that there will be consequences from decisions we make. It is that acceptance that allows us to be mislead into thinking that God is waiting for us to foul-up so He can bring down an ax upon our necks. However, the reality of God’s punishment is that He has designed our conscience in such a way that the act or omission is sufficient to engulf our mind with guilt which we spend enormous amounts of time and energy trying to dismiss. In other words, we tend to punish ourselves; although there are times when we really cross a line that by design can put quite a scar on our life that tends to act like baggage we carry for maybe a life time.

In the end what matters far more than luck, prosperity, physical prowess, nationality, or intellect, is how deep inside you does your Faith come from. If it is superficial it will not last, but if it comes from somewhere so deep, deep inside that nothing is more important and nothing could ever sever it from you, then it is the kind of Faith that has moved mountains, raised the dead, loved enemies, and it will live forever.

“And what that ultimately means, of course, is that you don’t ever have to do anything sensational for people to love you. When I say it’s you I like, I’m talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed. So in all that you do, in all of your life, I wish you the strength and the grace to make those choices which will allow you and your neighbor to become the best of whoever you are.” -Fred McFeely Rogers at the 2002 Dartmouth commencement

Females Wanted

“How long will you go here and there, O faithless daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth–A woman will encompass a man.” – NASB

Consider if you would, how many of  the earth’s creatures live in large groups where the female is either in charge or vital for every day survival. Ants, bees, elephants, and lions, just to name a few, all show us not just the importance of the female, but their absolute necessity. In most cases science has seen where the female of the species can change into a male far more often than the reverse. What I find so intriguing is how the female of most species is capable of existing with other females and males of their species; when more often than not, the male can only exist with females, young males, or occasionally with a “male buddy”.

This is where nature, once again, clearly shows us how our world works best. What makes me believe that women would make better leaders than men is firstly the degrading position that man has placed women in for the past several millennia showing numerous faults of the male,  and secondly is the woman’s capacity to care. There is a definite reason why males are incapable of maintaining long-term group existence with other males–pride. Selfish pride keeps most males from reaching their maximum capabilities, which then negatively affects everyone in one way or another.

King Y’shua Messiah is my text-book example of the perfect human being. He is our example to model our lives by, which if we follow Him step by step would lead us directly to perfection. His biggest characteristic was His Agape Love which allowed Him to obey God and die a horrible torturous death for those who crucified Him. And that is exactly what King Y’shua Messiah expects from each of us. If men today are not capable of that type of Faith, then women must step up because they are capable of such a Faith–they display it every time they carry and bring life into this world.

Weep Shepherds, Weep

I do not like to rely heavily on the Old Testament because it has all been done before, and there is far less positive blessing in it for today than there is in the New Testament. There is very good reason for this, viz., the Old Testament is the history of God’s people gone awry. To read the Old Testament today gives one a great look at what one can expect when one chooses to stop following God, be it on an individual or mass basis.

Jeremiah 23:1

“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” declares the Lord.”

So much is happening today, and yet, so few are earnestly searching for Truth; not a truth that makes one feel good or even a truth that produces contentment, but real Truth that gives one the complete understanding of ones existence. How many of us even ask the existential question? If there was ever a time to find out why you are on this planet, now is it. Today, far too many of us live for the single selfish reason of pleasure, and as a result we fail to consider the pain in other people’s lives. There is a direct correlation between the pain of others and the pleasure we seek for ourselves. It is not difficult to see how that pain increases with our search for pleasure.

The more we spend our lives searching for self pleasure and security, the less we consider those in pain. As we neglect their pain, it grows; and as it increases it is passed on to others too busy in their selfish little enterprises to notice that they have become the neglected. With each passing day, if we bother to look, we can see an increase in the masses of those suffering from pain. Eventually, if we do not stop their suffering we will become them.

There are reasons for all things that the Bible reveals, and the main message that the Bible shares is a matter of compassion for others. When King Y’shua Messiah preached the Word of God to the Jews they had already lived in a very segregated lifestyle. That was one of the biggest changes God was introducing to His people had that time, integration. It was the most difficult adjustment His people needed to make because of their prior rules to keep to themselves. This change God was implementing had nothing to do with everyone living the same way; that was already dealt with at the Tower of Babel. This change was simply a matter of compassion. Live and let live, with enough compassion for your neighbor to allow you to help out even if your neighbor did not believe as you.

King Y’shua Messiah’s entire itinerary demonstrated that very principle of being compassionate for whom ever was suffering, while at the same time not allowing another’s lifestyle to change yours. At the time of King Y’shua Messiah’s itinerary the Jews believed in an eye for an eye. That concept was applicable in the centuries before King Y’shua Messiah’s walk on earth, but it was not going to work any longer and it needed to be amended along with many other Old Testament beliefs. That was the job of God’s Agape Love, it was compassion that needed to grow in the hearts of His people if there was going to be any chance of it growing in the hearts of others.

The one great positive factor in all of this is job security! There is so much suffering on this planet that it will not be difficult for any of us to find work.

“There is a great deal in both joy and sorrow that is similar in everyone’s case, but always one element entirely different; the platitudinarian evades this….The biggest benediction one man can find in another is not in his words, but that he implies: “I do not know the answer to your problem; all I can say is that God alone must know; let us go to Him.” ”  Oswald Chambers

I am not certain that only mature followers of God can understand the words of Oswald Chambers, but I do believe that though they were written by Oswald Chambers, the words were given to him by God through the Blessed Holy Spirit. It is because of this that I do believe one needs the assistance of the Blessed Holy Spirit to completely understand Oswald Chambers’ writings. In that belief lies the Words of King Y’shua Messiah–Matthew 13:12

My dad introduced me to Mr. Chambers’ writings when I was just beginning to discover God and they seemed Greek to me at that time so I read very little Oswald Chambers, but once I became completely encapsulated in God I started reading all of the various publications from Oswald Chambers and have never stopped. I have found some of the most profound spiritual inspiration from Oswald Chambers’ writings and recommend  them to all determined followers of King Y’shua Messiah.
