Welcome to the Journey

Compassion

Do you feel it? Do you have it? Have you used it? Have you received it? The world is crying out for compassion without judgment, without cost. What are we here for if not for compassion toward those in need. It is amazing how quickly one forgets ones own needs and desires when one gives to the needs of others–compassionately gives.

Matthew 9:36

“And seeing the multitudes, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd.”  NASB

Do you feel it? The clock is ticking and we are getting deeper inside a very dark place as a country, and the only hope is God, and God is Love!

Deuteronomy 3:31

“For the Lord your God is a Compassionate God…”  NASB

Do you have it? It is that compassion that will identify us. It is that compassion that will carry us. It is that compassion that was commanded of us! It is that compassion that is so lacking today in everything that is this country.

Mark 8:2

“I feel compassion for the multitudes because they have remained with Me now three day, and have nothing to eat…”  NASB

Have you used it? So many of us think we give enough of ourselves and yet there is always something left of us, as there is always more need. Oswald Chambers would use the phrase “Poured out wine”, and we need desperately to keep on pouring. Half empty or half full, there will always be something left when there is need.

Today we are learning what the Bible has been preaching for thousands of years, that is to be content and to live modestly. It will take time and be difficult occasionally, but the Blessed Holy Spirit will continue to teach, share, and provide us with everything we will need to get through while we help those in need. Have you received it?
